| :Depends on what gauge the boost is being measured with (and i haven't checked profiles to see if they have aftermarket gauges). We all know that stock gauges are pretty inaccurate and even an aftermarket gauge could be connected wrong. agreed :In any event safety boost is generally noted as 7psi or less and i don't think a difference of .5psi denotes a problem. I never said .5 psi indicates a problem. I'm aware of what safety boost is. (??) In fact atmospheric conditions and even heat soak in the intercoolers play as much of a role in actual boost levels with stock controller setup as anything else. agreed (common knowledge) :At best it one may say that there "could" be the slightest of a boost leak but probably not, overall 9psi is generally considered pretty normal. ok. I agree. What point are you trying to make? What are you disagreeing with? Roughly 9psi is normal. 7 psi is not. Mike was trying to assert that 7 psi was normal boost for 1996, and claims this accounts for the 20HP deficit. I disagree. All 90-96 TTZ's run roughly 9psi boost unless there is a problem.
